Being in the heart of the city Graben Vienna is near many of the important attractions of the city.

Spanish riding school - Located just one block away the world famous Spanish Riding School is open to the public to view regular training and practice sessions. website

St. Stephan Cathedral -  This gothic masterpiece was developed around 1500 but has continued to be maintained and improved. Most recently the massive damage in the last days of WWII is now completely repaired, with a decorative ceramic roof of tiles donated by individuals of the city. Inside find Baroque elements overlaying the gothic foundation, with touches of renaissance humanism as well.  Look out for the sculpted "selfies" in stone of some of the master builders and stonemasons who worked on the original project 500 years ago.  website

St. Peter's Church - A Roman Catholic Baroque church first build in the early middle ages it has been rebuilt many times. The structure seen today is from the early 18th century and contains many value artifacts including the sculpture by Steinl of the Holy Trinity. website (in German)

Naschmarkt - A top destination for all visitors to the city you will find here the same fruit and vegetables for sale that before the 18th century could be found in the Graben market. But today Naschmarkt is more than just a produce market, it is also a place to get cooked and prepared foods either to take away or to sit at small cafes and outside stalls and lunch or snack or simply have a drink while people watching.  At weekends there is also a large flea market here, the biggest in the city and packed full of trinkets and antiques. website
