Brunnenmarkt
Vienna's longest street market stretches nearly a kilometer through the authentic Ottakring district, offering an incredible multicultural experience away from tourist crowds. With over 170 stalls, Brunnenmarkt represents modern Vienna's diverse character through Turkish, Balkan, Middle Eastern, and traditional Austrian vendors who serve the neighborhood's vibrant community.
Unlike tourist-focused markets, Brunnenmarkt remains firmly rooted in local life, with vendors who know their customers by name and prices that reflect neighborhood economics. The market operates Monday-Friday 6 AM-9 PM and Saturday 6 AM-5 PM, offering authentic international cuisine, fresh produce, and cultural experiences that reveal Vienna's contemporary multicultural soul.
Don't miss the authentic Turkish döner and pide, Balkan ćevapi, and traditional Austrian specialties. Saturday mornings bring peak energy when locals complete their weekly shopping. The surrounding Ottakring district features traditional pubs (Beisls), the historic Ottakringer Brewery, and emerging art galleries that showcase Vienna's creative future. Complete Brunnenmarkt Guide
